The Dream House

Welcome to my new blog!  If you're here because you just happened to find me somehow on the world wide web, so glad to meet you.  After you're done here be sure to head on over to my other blog, A{muse}ing Mommy on a Pink Park Bench, and you'll discover so much more than dream houses and decorating.  If you're visiting from the Pink Park Bench, so happy that you clicked on over.  I know you're stoked to read even more of my ramblings :)

So this is the house that inspired this blog...

The plans are by The House Designers and it's called Vida de la Confianza. (I have no idea what that means, but it sounds pretty.) It's a little over 1600 square feet if you don't include the bonus rooms on the second floor.  Plus, it has a lanai!  Yeah, I don't know exactly what that is, but the pictures of it look spectacular.

The pool would definitely be included.

There would be some minor changes, such as extending all of the bedrooms to the right, so the second and third bedrooms could each get their own bathrooms, rather than sharing a bathroom.
I don't own this house.  Actually, as far as I know this house is not even in existence anywhere.  It's just a drawing on my computer screen.  That being said, it was love at first site.  I even started a lovely little nest egg several weeks ago, so that one day I can build and own this house.  I figure I might as well get ahead of the game and decorate the inside awhile.

Hence this blog.

Here you'll find post after post of my favorite throw pillows, sinks, wall colors, tiles, rugs, and so on and so forth.  I'll warn you right now - I'm not an interior decorator.  When I comes to decorating I have no idea what I'm doing.  But I like what I like even if that does change every few months.

You see, I kind of have this little problem.  Well, the husband calls it a problem, but I call it a sign of my genius.  I tear out the pages of magazines when I see something I like.  If you missed the most recent issue of Real Simple, Country Living, This Old House, any one of the Better Homes and Gardens special issues, Fresh Home, Dwell, really any decorating magazine, then you missed something that I thought I was super cute and would look super fantastic in my house.  And I don't want you to miss out on anything.

Granted, this blog won't stop the magazine pages from being scattered around my current house, but it might help my organization a bit.  Maybe...

Oh, one other thing...

My hubs and I do own a pretty spectacular house right now.  It's not my dream house, but it's about the cutest first house a chicky could ask for.

Don't be surprised if I show off some of this house here as well.

So tell me, what brought you here anyway?
